Brassic Ends Its Run with Tarantino-Inspired Finale

Joseph Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst are wrapping up on their humorous show about a tight-knit bunch of endearing rogues causing chaos in a countryside town in Lancashire. One could anticipate the last episode to be a nostalgic highlight reel of alcohol, substances, and playful theft. But, the vibes are distinctly darker as the character Vinnie, played by Gilgun and the gang hole up in a bar with criminal figure Davey MacDonagh for a climactic 50th episode apparently inspired by Quentin Tarantino.

Dragons’ Den

8pm, BBC One
Ballet dancers leap into the den this week, as mothers Laura and Stacey pitch their range of adaptive dance attire – and send Peter Jones into a spin. Next, an ophthalmologist turned innovator has a clever gadget for misplaced tape edges.

All Creatures Great and Small

9pm on Channel 5
The animal-related escapades are all fine, but this excellent historical series earns its corn with tender character work. A particularly affecting episode intertwines the tales of a injured draft horse and a vanished calf into a more serious storyline centring on Tristan, whose behaviour prompts a fraternal intervention.

The Drama The Hack

9pm on ITV1
The journey has been lengthy. Yet the second-to-last episode of this initially sluggish but eventually gripping phone-hacking drama sees Nick, portrayed by David Tennant discovering details about the News of the World’s conduct that the other media outlets simply can’t ignore. Things are also looking up for the character Dave, who has a unexpected new supporter.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

9pm, BBC Three
Prepare for enthusiastic gestures: it’s time to stage Peter Pansy – The Rusical! That means the stress increases for the queens to perform vocally, dance, and act and ultimately slay as they prepare for the production. And who better to guest judge than West End stage legend Mazz Murray, together with the panel including Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, and RuPaul.

The Series The Iris Affair

9pm, Sky Atlantic
Anyone afraid of insects will want to skip ahead as the sixth episode starts, before a tense standoff, reminiscent of a Mexican or Sardinian scenario ensues, when Cameron compels Iris to exchange her journal for the hostaged Joy – else she’ll be “riddled with bullets” from the threatening drone controlled by Meski … What escape plan can they devise?
